Ouchy...

Yesterday we get a phone call from daycare (which has only happened once in 3.5 years!) so we had an idea something was up...

Em fell off the teeter totter and hurt her elbow. She was favoring it, but was using it now so we thought everything was fine.

Last night when we picked her up, she was totally favoring that arm, so we decided to call the doc and see what they say. They said to come right in to the Minor Injury Clinic (like the ER, without the E!)

Once Jim was home to watch the little buglet, Mamma packed Em into the car and off they went. We got to have her picture taken (aka an X-ray), then waited for the doc. He didn't see any breaks or cracks, but since she couldn't move her arm past 90 degrees, he sent us to orthopedics to make sure all was well. They gave us a hard splint and a sling to keep it in place for the night and home we went - both exhausted.

So this morning we went to Orthopedics and spoke with the doc there and sure enough, it is fractured :( So now we have a HOT PINK cast for 3 weeks (amazing how kids heal soo fast!!) One of the nurses was nice enough to blow up a laytex glove and make her a chicken balloon, which made her soo happy!

Here is Em waiting to see the Ortho doc
