Trip to Tahoe - Day 2
Saturday morning we got up and had breakfast then tried to think of something to do that day. We ventured down to South Lake since the weather was gorgeous. We found a fun little hill to go sledding on - all the kids (this includes Dadda!) enjoyed it.
Our Little Dare Devil!
Em and Allie in the snow - notice Alli'e position has NOT changed from day 1 (next year will be better for her I hope!)
Here is Em coming on the Saucer alone - she LOVED it!
Allie did have some fun coming down the hill with Dadda
And they were both tired after a fun day

Trip to Tahoe - Day 1
We decided it would be fun to take a trip to the snow for a long weekend. We loaded everybody in the car and headed to Tahoe last weekend to play and have some fun.
On Friday after we arrived we got everybody in their gear and headed out to the backyard Here is a picture of the kids first learning to walk in snow - Notice both of their positions!
Here is a video from Friday's playtime - Allie was having a tough time due to NO nap
Here is a picture of Em and Mamma - after Mamma rescued Em from the Snow :)

And Em and Sally checking out the yard

The view of our backyard

After we went inside Dadda built a fire and Mamma was making dinner, so the girls entertained themselves - whatever works!

Here is Dadda and his big girl just before bed after a LONG day

TV Blues
Well last week I was cooking dinner and the girls were watching Pablo and
Em says - "Mamma, Pablo is blue."
Well duh Em, he is a BLUE Penguin!
So I said "Yes Em I know."
And she says, "No Mamma, the TV is blue."
So I look and this is what I see...

* note this is NOT Pablo!
It got better, so totally forgot. Until Dadda came home and it did it again. After having the repair man come out twice to "fix" it this is what we are now watching...

Which is a small 19 inch (the one in back is 65) - we can barely read the Direct TV guide! Thankfully our new tv will be here Friday or Monday!

Christmas 2008
Well - this post is a month late - but we figured we should update the world on Christmas at our house.
We went up to the mountains to get our Xmas tree - a family tradition from Mamma's side that she is trying to continue against Dadda's wishes ;-) This year we invited Gammie to join us for some more family fun. We were lucky to have NO rain before we went up to the mountains, which meant NO mud to trek through. We did have VERY cold weather, but we just bundled everybody up and went up the mountain - thank god for 4 wheel drive, because we found a little tree farm that had one lane roads that were a little scary!

We ended up with a little 12 ft tree for our house - which was gorgeous with just lights on it (with all the sickies in our house before Xmas there just wasn't time to do ALL the decorating!)

And whoever didn't believe us when we said our kids have horns - take a look, these sprouted when they were supposed to be nice!!

Christmas morning was really fun - Em came and woke me up whispering something about a HOUSE being in the living room. When I asked her who had left it she whispered SANTA with wide eyes - the joy kids bring to life is so much fun!! We got dadda up and let her play with the new doll house while we made coffee and woke up. Once Allie was awake it was present time. They ripped through the presents pretty fast - Even Sally knew which presents were her's (how she knew that I have NO idea, but she ONLY ripped opened her 3 presents and nothing else.)

After presents Mamma made Maple Crumb Muffins (another tradition) while the kids played with their new toys and dadda 'watched' the kids

The girls got all dressed up to head over to The Piazza's house (aka Aunti Jen, Uncle Steve and MADI)

And trying to get one of them together, is so hard!

We spent the day with cousin Madi, Aunt Jen, Uncle Steve and Gammie - it was a very relaxing day with LOTS of fun. It was nice being with family watching the kids just enjoy the holiday. We wished we could have had ALL the families together, but it wasn't in the cards this year.
