Outdoors

Spring has sprung and the kids (and mom) had spring fever, so we decided to get out of the house for a few hours while dadda took care of some errands he needed to do.

We had beautiful weather and we got to see a lot of wild life during the trip - the girls loved it and so did mom!

We ventured to local county park that has a somewhat easy waterfall trail that we have been wanting to see.

Posing for a picture at the first waterfall

Mom even got in a shot

Along the way we stop to enjoy the waterfalls and skip some rocks

As we were heading back to the car we saw a few 'friends' on the trail - think we startled them more then they startled us!

And on the road home we saw this pretty guy hanging with his chicks!

Two buglets become ballerinas

The girls have been asking to take dance classes for quite sometime now, so we finally decided to enroll them in a Baby Balley and a Pre-Ballet class to see if they like it. Last weekend the fun started with just going to go pick out leotards, tights and ballet slippers - the girls were very excited to run this errand and didn't understand why they couldn't just wear their new treasures right away. Finally this morning they were able to put on thier new threads and get ready to head to ballet! Allie is in the Baby Ballet class along with 4 other kids her age - it was really fun to watch these little guys try to follow direction and have lots of fun. The teacher asked all the parents to leave and surprisingly our little bug had no issues with this and waved as we walked out the door. Allie all dressed and ready for class Allie and her class following the teacher Em is in the Pre-Ballet class and once it was time for her class she was very excited and warmed up from running the halls as entertainment during Allie's class. She was ready to show the teacher her moves and her good listening skills. After the classes we had to pose for some pictures at home and do a little dance :) Sisterly love

Disneyland...

All dressed and ready to go to DISNEY!!!!!

After meeting Mickey & Minnie we took the train all the way around the park for some rest!

We did the Winnie the Pooh ride twice - was a short ride!

We treated the girls to popcorn and they had a hard time sharing with Mom and Dad!

We hit ToonTown where we met Mickey & Minnie and explored Donald's house

We headed back to Disney the first night to see the firework display and got a nice picture of Sleeping Beauty's Castle

Were were able to get the merry go round and Dumbo ride in before finding our spot for fireworks. Allie was very unsure of the Merry Go Round and Em was soo excited!

Since the fireworks don't normally start until 9.25 and they were late this evening, the kids were EXHAUSTED!

Here are some other pics from the Carousel at California Adventure and Dumbo the last morning

The cruise...

We decided to take a kidless vacation - which took a lot of coordinating and planning, but we were able to do it!
We took the 4 day cruise to Mexico and back just to get away for a few restful days!

Here is our room (reminds me of a casino!)

Here we are on the balcony of the room enjoying the view of Long Beach before we sailed

Jim

The Queen Mary

Our first stop outside our stateroom was at the bar for a Bon Voyage drink of the day!

We went outside and watched Long Beach sail away

Our first day was spent in Avalon, Catalina, CA - we were supposed to snorkle that day, but the excursion was canceled :( So we went in late and had lunch and Buffalo Milk (Thanks Molly for the recommendation!!) and got the girls some cute dresses!

Here is our ship as we took the little boat into port

Here is a picture from the beach of Avalon

A self portrait of us on the beach in Avalon

The Casino in Avalon

We did the Glass Bottom Boat tour since snorkling was cancelled

We woke the next morning to see the second largest flag in Mexico in Ensenada!!

We did the ATV excursion in Ensenada and had a blast! We were dirty after, but we didn't care because we had so much fun!!

The night in Ensenada Jim got quarantined to our room because he had a cough and fever - thankfully it was after all our stops and all he missed was a Day at Sea!

A few things we did find in our room were some cute towel animals that were placed there when we were at dinner.

And our last sunrise over the CA skyline - we were up and ready to get off that ship and see our girls!!!

Disneyland Pictures

We took the girls to Disneyland for a few days - the loved the rides and all the characters, but the pixies and the princesses stole the show :) Em was star struck by Tink as Allie chatted her ear off! Once we got to the princesses Em just wanted to keep hugging them!!
We all had a great time, but were EXHAUSTED!
